Description
This is a micrometer that measures in mm. It has a digital readout and an analog readout. It can measure within 0.001mm accuracy. It is best used for measuring small ranges of lengths. The micrometer should be placed on a clean, flat workpiece and the temperature of the workpiece should be around 20°C for consistent measuring results.

Application:
A micrometer generally provides greater precision than a vernier caliper, but
can measure a smaller range of lengths.
Before using a micrometer:
Make sure the workpiece being measured is clean and has no burrs on the
edges.
The temperature of the workpiece is required to be around 20°C to
have consistent measuring results.
Precision measuring tools should never be put near a magnetic area to
avoid the micrometer being magnetized.
